A 40-year-old woman of Surajpur, Panchkula, has levelled allegations of gangrape against 2 men. The police registered the FIR on Friday and have been investigating the case.
According to SHO of Pinjore police station, Inspector Lalit Kumar, the woman works as a sweeper in power department office in Pinjore where Hardev Singh, junior engineer, against whom alle gations have been made, is also employed.
As per the allegations, both Singh and his friend Anil Kumar, resident of Pinjore, had been raping her for over a year now. On her complaint, the police registered the FIR for gangrape and criminal conspiracy.
She alleged that the accused had made a video of her and were threatening to make it public. The inquiry into the allegations was conducted by ACP Kalka Purnima Singh who clarified that no such video came to light during her investigations though.
“The medical of the woman was got conducted. The allegations are being investigated. The accused are yet to be arrested. The recording of statement of the victim before magistrate has also not be made,” said Inspector Lalit Kumar.
