Punjab government today transferred five senior IPS officers in the state with immediate effect.

Patiala Inspector General of Police (IGP), Zonal, Paramjit Singh Gill will swap places with Nirmal Singh Dhillon who is IGP-cum-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, an official spokesman said here.

Besides, Loknath has been transferred as IGP, Zonal, Jalandhar, in place of Balwinder Singh Bawa.Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Bathinda range, Amar Singh Chahal will swap places with Yurinder Singh who is DIG, Ferozepur range.
