“The 19-year-old girl, while testifying before the court, denied all allegations of rape and kidnap, as alleged by her aunt,” said defence counsel Inderjeet Bassi.

In her statement before the court, the girl said “I am married to Sunil and had left my aunt’s house of my own will. I would like to stay with my husband. He has never raped me.” The girl was employed as a domestic help, and hailed from Jharkhand. She had been found missing from her aunt’s house in Sector-9 in June this year. The complainant has now told the court that she did not want to pursue the case.
