The meeting on September 21 could not be held as the members staged a walkout over the Dasuya college sexual harassment case, while the subsequent meeting had to eventually be cancelled because of thin attendance. Members did not turn up citing that they were busy with the senate agenda, the meeting of which took place the next day.

Meanwhile, some members have been accusing the vice-chancellor AK Grover of showing them in bad light. Syndicate member Ashok Goyal had raised the issue in the senate meeting on September 29 claiming that there were reports that V-C had been telling various people that syndics and senate were not allowing him to work. Following his statement, the V-C had offered to resign.

At the meeting, the syndicate is likely to discuss the action taken report in Dasuya college sexual harassment case of Punjab, besides poor financial health of PU constituent colleges in Punjab, award of 28 PhD degrees to students and fee hike of some courses.

According to sources, in the supplementary agenda, the extension of the appointment of V-C's wife Neera Grover at the music department is also likely to be discussed.
