Aids workers go on strike over salary hike

The workers of State Aids Control Society, UT, observed a half-day strike in the city on Thursday.
The workers demanded higher wages. The wages of all the workers had been revised around 15 days back but they said this revision was not acceptable to them.
"After revision, salaries of some of the workers were even decreased. This is unfair,"said Jatinder Dahiya, president of the Aids Workers Union.
Later, the protesters also gave representation to project director of UT State Aids Control Society, Dr Vaneeta Gupta and joined the work.
