Congress deputy leader in Lok Sabha Capt Amarinder Singh on Saturday hailed the Coast Guard besides intelligence and security agencies for intercepting a suspicious ferry coming from Pakistan.
In a statement issued here, Amarinder said given the way the boat caught fire and burnt down, it was likely that it was carrying a suspicious substance which those aboard did not want to be seized. "One thing appears likely that the boat was carrying the contraband as smugglers are finding it difficult to smuggle it through the land borders," he observed.
