Amritsar police issue look out circular for minister's PA

The Amritsar police had booked Sarabdyal on June 25 after receiving a complaint from the administration that he, in connivance with others, had embezzled Rs 1.15 crore meant for development of villages. The case was registered at the Civil Lines police station.

Amritsar police commissioner Ram Singh told HT on Saturday, "The LOC has been issued to prevent Sarabdyal from leaving the country. Airports across the country will be sounded. We don't want Sarabdyal to leave the country, hence the LOC."

Sarabdyal was booked after 12 cheques worth Rs 1.15 crore meant for development and received by him were allegedly embezzled by him in connivance with bank officials.
The PA, conniving with others, allegedly withdrew the money by opening fake bank accounts.
Though the case was registered in June, the Amritsar police, which registered the case, and the Amritsar (rural) police, which was inquiring into the role of the PA, have failed to nab Sarabdayal.

PA applies for bail
Amritsar: With the Amritsar police hot on his chase, Sarbdayal Singh has reportedly applied for bail in the court of the additional sessions judge. According to information, the application for the bail will be heard on Monday.
