Badal launches Markfed’s Sohna Shakkar, juices

Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Friday launched new products under Markfed’s Sohna brand including Sohna Shakkar, Sohna Guava and Litchi Juice, and Sohna Gold Tea.

Financial commissioner (co-operation) of Punjab SK Sandhu and managing director of Markfed Gurkirat Kirpal Singh were present at the occasion of the launch that marks Markfed’s foray into the sugar and juice markets.

The ingredients for these products have been sourced from regions in India such as Ferozepur and Pathankot in Punjab and Doares in West Bengal.
Singh said that the products will be sold through all retail points of Markfed in addition to other distributors and added that Markfed will soon venture into the marketing of noodles and breakfast cereals.
