"It's 100% political vendetta. The fight is not going to end here; it has just started," a combative Bajwa said while interacting with journalists at the Leaderspeak@HT programme.

The Majha chieftan's riposte has come amid a move spearheaded by revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia to probe into Bajwa's land deals that have rocked the state politics for the past three weeks or so.

"I dare the government to order a CBI probe," he said, adding: "Let chief minister Parkash Singh Badal set a cut-off date after which all shamlat (panchayat) land bought by anyone in the capital's periphery should be surrendered. I shall be the first one to surrender my land."

On Capt Amarinder Singh asking him to come clean on his land deals, Bajwa reacted with a caustic tinge, "I don't need directions from those facing criminal cases." Details, Page 2
