What contributed to your victory?

Hard work of party workers led to the win. I thank senior leaders, party cadre and city residents for their invaluable support. It was also due to blessings of the almighty.

What will be your priorities as MP?

Improving infrastructure will be priority. Projects like Film City, which could generate employment will be taken up. All problems of housing board societies, traders, industry and Lal Dora will also be taken up. The first priority will be doing away with the wrong policies of Bansal.

Your take on the charge that you are an outsider?

People have voted against the negative campaign run by Bansal and Panag. Everybody knows that I belong to this place. I will stay here after the elections.

What do you think about today’s mandate?

The mandate is for BJP’s prime ministerial candidate. People have voted against the corrupt government of the UPA and voted for the BJP.
