To bring transparency in the MBBS and BDS admission process, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has decided that it will allow candidates access to their question papers, optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets and answer keys after the examination.

The BFUHS conducts medical entrance examination for all medical and dental college in the state.

It was a long-pending demand of medical aspirants and their parents. The parents had also demanded that the university should invite objections after putting up the answer key of the Punjab MBBS entrance exam on the website.

However, partially agreeing to the demand, the university authorities, in response to the representations, have said, "Whosoever asks for the question paper/OMR sheets/ answer key, would immediately be provided the information."

The university said a candidate who had not appeared in the examination had no right to get the question paper, etc. The university said it would not upload the said information on the internet.

The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) conducts the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) and has been allowing the candidates to take home the question paper since 2004.
