BJP unit donates over Rs5 lakh for U'khand victims

Local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unit collected a sum of Rs five lakh one thousand for relief activities of the Uttarakhand flood victims, here.

A BJP spokesperson said local party unit chief Sanjay Tandon, BJP party incharge for Chandigarh Aarti Mehra along with some other local leaders met the BJP president Rajnath Singh and handed over the cheque to him, here on Monday.

The party workers collected the funds in door-to-door campaigns in the city, added the spokesperson.
