• IIMs (Indian institutes of management) to be set up in Punjab and Himachal Pradesh


• IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) to be set up in Jammu


• Rs 200 crore earmarked for conserving and preserving heritage character of Amritsar and five other cities under Hriday (National heritage city development augmentation Yojana)


• Agri-biotech centre in Mohali to be scaled up to give thrust to secondary agriculture through collaboration


• Renuka dam construction to be taken up on priority; initial sum of Rs 50 crore earmarked


• Horticulture University announced for Haryana


• Biotechnology research centre at Faridabad


• Amritsar-Kolkata industrial corridor master planning to be completed expeditiously


• Rs 500 crore for rehabilitation of displaced Kashmiri migrants in Jammu and Kashmir


• Rs 200 crore provided for upgrading sports infrastructure in J&K


• Rs 50 crore for Pashmina Promotion Programme and another programme for the development of other crafts of J&K


• Ladakh among four places identified for setting up ultra mega solar power projects for which Rs 500 crore have been set aside
