CBSE to hold essay-writing competition on January 23 to January 28

All schools affiliated to the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) in the city are going to conduct the essay-writing competitions in their respective schools from January 23 to January 28.

The CBSE has proposed the arrangement on the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Lala Lajpat Rai on January 23 and January 28, respectively.

The board has asked for volunteer participation from students of Classes 5 to 7. Students were supposed to check about the topics for the respective competition from cbseacademic.in <http://www.cbseacademic.in/> on Monday.

According to the guidelines from the board, students are free to write the essay in any of the scheduled 22 languages or they can submit their essays in English too, the world limit for an essay has been set 500 words or else their entry will be cancelled.

Schools have been asked to send their best five entries to the CBSE on January 29 from 9am to 9pm, by using online links that will be made available on the same date on cbseacademic.in <http://www.cbseacademic.in/>.

The CBSE has also directed that in case any student would be found guilty of plagiarism, the entry of the student will be cancelled even after the allotment of the prizes.
