The Centre has given the nod to issue a commemorative postage stamp on Kuka movement, for the year 2014. Union minister Kapil Sibal informed the state government in a letter addressed to Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal.

In the letter, Sibal urged the chief minister to nominate a nodal officer to coordinate with the department of posts for the issuance of the stamp in a befitting manner.
Badal had taken up the matter with the Centre in recognition of the Kuka Movement's outstanding contribution and pioneering role in the national freedom struggle.
