Centre contemplating to further amend right to fair compensation in land bill: Birender Singh

Union rural development minister Chuadhary birender SIngh on Wednesday said that the Union government was comtemplating to further amend the right to fair compensation in land acquisition.

"Central government is contemplating to further amend the right to fair compensation in land acquisition, rehabilitation and resettlement Bill to facilitate higher multiplication factor for land acquired in rural area, " he said.

The minister also said that his party will try to generate consensus among the other political parties about the land bill.

On the issue of feue between Haryana and its neighbouring state Punjab, Birender said that it was right time to resolve disputes between the two states.
