The Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), which is part of the National E-Governance Plan, will help in keeping a track of the anti-social elements by maintaining their crime records, besides monitoring status of the complaints filed, an official release said.

Under the project, all police stations, sub-divisions and police headquarters will be inter-connected and the FIRs can be accessed by all of them, the release said.

The project, launched at the Sector-19 police station and the office of DSP (East), is currently at the initial stage and will be launched in other police stations across the Chandigarh this year.
