Claiming in a statement here that Rathore had continued in his post during Chautala's tenure as CM despite committing a heinous crime, Haryana Congress chief Phool Chand Mullana said, "This was not possible without Chautala's patronage. He should take retirement from politics."

Strongly condemning the harassment and trauma which Ruchika's family had to face over the years, he demanded action against politicians and government officials who had given patronage to Rathore including Chautala.
