The federation demanded regularisation of their houses by changing old bylaws which made more than 95% of them violators.

They also demanded simplification of paper work and process of transfer of ownership without submission of an affidavit regarding no need-based changes.

They further asked the MP to convince the administration to start the process of giving ownership to those who bought their houses before a lapse of five years, besides giving ownership rights to residents of the tenement colonies, who, over the last decades, bought their houses on power of attorney.

It was brought into the MP's notice that people were getting regular notices from the housing board authorities regarding removal of need-based changes made by the owners of dwelling units.
