City sizzles at 43.7°C

The city on Saturday sizzled at 43.7°C, five degrees above normal and third hottest in the region following Hisar and Bhiwani in Haryana. The minimum temperature remained at 24.7°C.

The city on Saturday sizzled at 43.7°C, five degrees above normal and third hottest in the region following Hisar and Bhiwani in Haryana. The minimum temperature remained at 24.7°C.

According to Met centre, Chandigarh, though there is possibility of duststorms with rain and lighting in some isolated areas of Punjab and Haryana in the next 36 hours, it will be followed by dry weather.

The Met centre has predicted that the heat wave is likely to continue over the next one week.

According to the Met, Hisar had the highest temperature in the region at 44.1°C in Punjab, Patiala followed with a temperature of 43.6°C and Ludhiana recorded 43.4°C.
