There was no let up in the biting cold wave sweeping Punjab and Haryana, with day temperatures falling several notches below normal level.

Chandigarh residents again woke up to a thick blanket of fog and icy cold winds this morning. The minimum temperature in the city settled at 6.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, a report of the MeT Department here said.
