All India Congress Committee (AICC) member Abdul Gani Vakil on Monday said any minister, bureaucrat or politician facing charges of corruption or land grabbing should face inquiry to come clean.
Vakil in a statement here said those who are trying to become a hurdle in investigation by seeking intervention or favours from different quarters are raising doubts among people.
He said any politician, minister or bureaucrat accused to be involved in land encroachments or corruption practice should be opened for any investigation to prove his innocence.
He said, "Corruption is eating vitals of the state and it is the only reason of our backwardness and under-development."
Besides, he said, it was the main factor responsible for distancing people especially youth from the mainstream.
"Congress cannot be silent on corruption issue as this has made life of poor people miserable and government should leave no stone unturned in eradicating this menace so that common man gets justice," Vakil said.
Vakil added that his tirade against corruption will continue for the welfare of people who believe that tax-payers' money was going to drain. "My crusade against corruption will not stop till guilty is punished," he declared.

{{/usCountry}}"I am following the mission of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and its general secretary Rahul Gandhi on corruption," he said adding their instructions were that every Congress man should raise voice against corruption even if the person involved was from within the party.
"I am following their orders and want to make the Congress strong," he said.
