In Rajasthan, those who files nominations included Samajwadi Party candidate Surajbhan Dhanka and BJP nominee Sukh Singh Jaunpuria from Dausa and Tonk-Sawai Madhopur constituencies respectively
In Maharashtra, BJP MP Harishchandra Devram Chavan filed his papers from the Dindori (ST) Lok Sabha constituency in Nashik district. Nationalist Congress Party's (NCP) Bharati Pravin Pawar entered the fray from the Dindori Lok Sabha seaT.
Apart from all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu, election will be held on April 24 in six seats in Assam, seven seats in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, one in Kashmir, four in Jharkhand, 10 in Madhya Pradesh, 19 in Maharashtra, five in Rajasthan, 12 in Uttar Pradesh, six in West Begal and one in Puducherry.
Filing of nominations for 89 seats that will go to polls on April 30 in the seventh phase began today with issuance of notification.
These include 17 seats in Telangana, seven seats in Bihar, all 26 seats in Gujarat, one in Jammu and Kashmir, 13 in Punjab, 14 in Uttar Pradesh and nine in West Bengal.
