This was stated by chief minister Prof Prem Kumar Dhumal, while addressing a public meeting in a minority dominated village of Misserwala in Paonta Sahib sub-division of district Sirmour.

Government would contribute Rs 2 crore to the fund and this contribution could be increased later on. He said besides this, scholarships would also be given for the programme. He reiterated the resolve of the state government to protect the interests of minorities in the state in all respects.

Chief minister said the state government would be spending Rs 34 crore over the channelisation of Giri-Bata River which would bring a sea-change in the lives of the farming community in the area.

He pointed that the state government had successfully implemented the Swan River Channelisation Project in the district Una, where the farm economy had grown by leaps and bounds.
