Easyday store manager denied anticipatory bail

A local court here rejected the anticipatory bail application of Easyday store manager Rana Varun Pratap. He was one of the 18 people, including chairman and CEO of Bharti Enterprises Sunil Bharti Mittal, booked by the police on June 17 under sections 273, 420, 467, 478, 471 of the IPC.

They were accused of cheating customers by selling expired items and overcharging. A complaint in this regard was filed by an advocate, Amit Pruthi, who had presented a list of products which the Easyday store sold after expiry date and the ones it overcharged.
