EC okays transfer of six IAS officers

The Election Commission (EC) of India has given its nod to the reshuffle of six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and five Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officers, confirming the replacement of deputy commissioners of six districts that the state government had announced earlier this week.

The Election Commission (EC) of India has given its nod to the reshuffle of six Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and five Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officers, confirming the replacement of deputy commissioners of six districts that the state government had announced earlier this week.

The new DCs (all IAS officers) are Ravi Bhagat (Amritsar), Varun Roojam (Jalandhar), Tanu Kashyap (Hoshiarpur), Anindita Mitra (Nawanshahr) and Arshdeep Singh Thind (Moga, with additional charge of Faridkot). Another IAS officer, VK Sharma, has been transferred as chief administrator, Bathinda Development Authority.

The PCS officers with fresh postings are Jaskiran Singh (chief administrator, Jalandhar Development Authority), Tejinder Singh Dhaliwal (special secretary, science technology and environment), Vinay Bublani (chairman, Jalandhar Improvement Trust) and Amarbir Kaur Bhullar (SDM, Nabha).
