Fiza had refused to return car, claims lawyer friend

The Chandigarh police have claimed that Fiza's friend Dalip Mahajan had complained against her for not returning his car. He had forwarded a complaint at the public window, which was forwarded to Sector 3 SHO Neeraj Sarna.

The Chandigarh police claimed that Fiza's friend Dalip Mahajan had complained against her for not returning his car. He had forwarded a complaint at the public window, which was forwarded to Sector 3 SHO Neeraj Sarna.

In his complaint, Mahajan had submitted: "I gave my car to Fiza on June 22 as she needed it for some time. When I called Fiza on July 20, she said the car was out of station and she would give it back in a few days."

Mahajan said he contacted Fiza again on July 24 and that's when she shouted at him and told him to forget about his car. Following this, he forwarded a complaint to the Chandigarh police. Mahajan also expressed the fear that the car might be used for a criminal activity.

Police sources said Mahajan claimed he knew Fiza for over two decades because his brother Rohit Mahajan was one of her close friends. Mahajan said he gave the car to Fiza for a few days, but was shocked when she categorically refused to return it.

Car was with security agentFiza had reportedly entrusted the car borrowed from lawyer Dalip Mahajan to the owner of Five Star security agency in Derabassi, Balwinder Singh. Police said Balwinder had come in contact with Fiza about two months back and he used to provide her security guards. "After the recovery of the vehicle, we questioned Balwinder, who admitted that Fiza had given him the car and that after hearing about Fiza's death, he had abandoned the car in Ambala," said Swarndeep Singh, SP City SAS Nagar.
