FM announces AIIMS for Punjab, Himachal and J-K

The Finance minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday announced Six more AIIMS like institutions, including each in Punjab, J-K and Himachal Pradesh.

The Finance minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday announced Six more AIIMS like institutions, including each in Punjab, J-K and Himachal Pradesh.

Presenting the union budget in parliament, Jaitley also announced Apprentice insititute for women in Haryana, besides announcing a IIM in J-K.


He also announced a post graduate horticulture institute for Amritsar.

The FM also announced development assistance for 10 world heritage site, which include Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar and Leh Palace of J-K.


Giving priority to the farmers, FM also allocated an amount of Rs 8.5 lakh crore loans to farmers besides allocating another Rs 3000 crore for Pradhanmantri Krishi Sichai Yojana.
