The Punjab government on Thursday transferred four IPS officers and one PPS officer with immediate effect. The IPS officers with fresh portfolios are Surinder Kumar Kalia (AIG/PAP, Jalandhar), Gursharan Singh, (AIG/personnel-1, Chandigarh), Babu Lal Meena (commandant-cum-deputy director, Punjab Police Academy, Phillaur) and Kanwar Bahadur Singh (AIG/transport, Chandigarh, in addition to AIG/provisioning, Chandigarh.
