Golfer Vasundhara tops U-13 category
City junior golfer Vasundhara Thiara has jumped to number-one position in the Category-C (under 13) in the Indian Golf Union (IGU) order of merit. The 12-year-old won the IGU Army Ladies and Junior Girls’ golf tournament at AEPTA Golf Club in New Delhi last week.

Vasundhara, a student of Vivek High School, Sector-38, had earlier been ranked one in the Category D. In 2015, she has two wins out of three tournaments under her belt. In the first IGU ladies and junior girls golf tournament at the Chandigarh Golf Club Vasundhara finished second.
“The focus this year will be on training and therefore, I will be playing in selective tournaments. Improving my strokes and increasing my range of shots are the areas that I am working on,” said Vasundhara.
