Sharma, who recently quit the Congress and formed his own Jan Chetna Party, in a letter to the chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, said that though 32 sikhs were burnt alive at Hond Chillar in Rewari district on November 2, 1984, the Sikh families were still looking for justice.

Sharma, who was considered to be Hooda's confidante till recently, in the letter further alleged that the local police which was initially given the probe did not act in spite of all the evidence against the culprits and later closed the case.

Raising doubts at seriousness of the state government in taking the case to conclusion, Sharma said that three years back the government made a commission to inquire into this incident which was to submit its report in six months, but three years down the line no conclusion had been arrived till date.
