Enrolments in four districts - Ambala, Gurgaon, Sonepat and Karnal - will remain connected with the PDS project.

A spokesman for the information technology department said additional chief secretary and financial commissioner, revenue, is the state registrar for the UID project in Haryana. The IT department has been made the nodal agency.

Accordingly, the Haryana state UID registrar has invited bids from enrolment agencies (EAs) empanelled by Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for carrying out UID enrolment. Request for Quotation (RFQ) was released on June 21 for selection of the agencies and the process was underway.

He said that bulk of enrolments in Phase-II are targeted to be completed within the first six months of commencement of the project with the remaining enrolments to be carried out and completed in a two month follow-up period.
