Their protest began at noon till 3 pm and in between no local bus towards Kalka, Barwala and other nearby towns were not allowed to leave the bus stand. Nearly 30 buses remained halted, causing a lot of harassment to hundreds of passengers.

State secretary of All Haryana Roadways Workers Union, Balwan Singh, said that the department was responsible for inconvenience to the people. "We had given the ultimatum to the department to reinstate conductor Ishwar Singh, who was wrongly terminated by the previous GM Rohtash Verma, after the former levelled corruption charges against him,"he said.

Ishwar Singh had been sitting on a hunger strike for a week here at the Panchkula bus stand and was forcibly taken for a medical checkup.
