A special campaign would be launched to popularise tourist spots in the state, Haryana chief parliamentary secretary for tourism Ram Kishan Fouji said on Tuesday.

Addressing senior officials of Haryana Tourism Corporation Limited in a review meeting held here, Fouji asked them to improve the standards of facilities like food and rooms being provided at such places, an official release said.

Fouji said the state tourism agency would coordinate with Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) to popularise tourist spots in the state near Chandigarh.

To attract tourists to these places, complete information would be given about places of interest in Haryana, including Pinjore Gardens, Bhima Devi temple and Kurukshetra.

Besides, Pinjore Gardens have been developed as an attractive destination for tourists visiting Himachal Pradesh, and special steps have been taken for international recognition of the gardens, he added.
