Petitioner Anju had appeared in the recruitment examination but failed to qualify. “She did not score well in the interview. She has sought the intervention of the high court and submitted that the matter be decided at the earliest, the stay ordered by the division bench be vacated and recruitment made on merit,” her counsel, SN Yadav told HT.

The single bench of high court had earlier quashed the appointments of 2,985 teachers. But the division bench, later, stayed the order and directed the government to come out with a solution that took on board the affected teachers as well as petitioners.
