The Punjab and Haryana high court on Wednesday adjourned arguments in the petitions alleging irregularities in question papers of preliminary examination of Haryana Civil Services (executive branch) and other allied services preliminary examination, 2011, to August 27.
A bunch of three petitions challenging the examination process filed by Sunil Dhull, Jitender Kumar, Jai Bhagwan and other candidates came up for hearing before the bench headed by justice Augustine George Masih on Wednesday.
The bench was informed by the petitioners' advocates that the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) had declared the dates for the mains examinations from September 2 onwards and any delay in the judgment would affect the petitioners' career. But the bench adjourned the case for next hearing to August 27.
The Hindustan Times was the first to report the issue. Earlier, the HPSC had admitted before the high court that 18 questions in five subject papers were found incorrect.
