IPS officer’s credit card misused; case registered

A woman Indian Police Service (IPS) officer has complained that her credit card was misused by someone without her knowledge. Police have registered a case against unidentified persons.

A woman Indian Police Service (IPS) officer has complained that her credit card was misused by someone without her knowledge. Police have registered a case against unidentified persons.

Amrit Brar, AIG traffic, Punjab Police Headquarters, Sector 9, has complained that an unidentified person used her credit card, recently, and withdrew Rs 5,000. The accused also made unsuccessful attempts to shop online from her credit card.

Brar said that around two months back, she had received a phone call from a man claiming to be a representative of a private bank, and asked for the card verification value (CVC) number of her credit card.
