Irked over poor conditions of roads in PU, NSUI protests

NSUI campus president Hardeep Singh said roads in the south campus from University Alumni House to University Institute of Engineering And Technology were in poor condition and should be re-carpeted.

The protesting students also demanded that problem of sewerage leakage in front of Girls' Hostel no.8 and erratic power supply in the south campus should be solved.

They also submitted a memorandum to vice-chancellor. “The roads are filled with potholes, which cause a lot of inconvenience to students. Everyday they complain of tyre burst of their vehicles and incidents of two wheelers skidding off the road have also been reported,” said Singh.

The NSUI members also stated, “When the university is achieving new heights in academics than why it is failing to provide basic infrastructure and facilities to students and faculty members.”
