Stating this here today, a spokesperson for the chief minister's office said Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal cleared the file to this effect last evening.

In a major setback to the Punjab Congress, two-time MLA from Moga Jain on Wednesday had quit the party and joined the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).
