JEE (main) list out; Kunal from Chandigarh makes it to top 100

The JEE (main)2015, rank list was declared on Wednesday and featured a sole student from the city making it to the top 100 ranks.

Kunal Mittal achieved an all India rank (AIR) of 47. Mittal said that he had always dreamt of studying in an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and now he had managed to achieve it. He added that he wanted to pursue computer science and later wanted to venture into research work. Many students from the city witnessed a dip in their rankings after the addition of their class 12 marks.

Mittal himself had achieved rank 20 in the JEE (advance) results but slipped to the 47th rank on the addition of his class 12 marks. Similarly, Arshdeep Singh, who had got rank 41 in JEE (advance), was ranked 265 in JEE (main).
