Union minister Farooq Abdullah on Tuesday lashed out at opposition parties in Jammu and Kashmir for "presenting wrong facts" about the functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA).
Farooq who heads the JKCA said a loan taken on fixed deposits of the sporting association was to repay the "interest free" loan paid by a businessman when the bank accounts of the JKCA were frozen by court.
He said by making leaks to the media and not putting all the facts in the public domain certain forces were trying to make an "unsuccessful attempt to tarnish his image for political mileage knowing well that he is absolutely clean".
He said he is open to any scrutiny as far as his conduct as president of the JKCA is concerned and also requested the BCCI to depute its auditors for the accounts to JKCA.
Terming as "baseless and frivolous" allegations made by the opposition parties of the state he said JKCA was in fact was the whistle blower in the case when certain facts were brought to his notice and registering of case was ordered.
Showing the resolution passed by the JKCA in 2008 the minister for new and renewable energy said the money of Rs 1.90 crore was paid to Ahsan Ahmed Mirza towards the interest free loans from time to time provided by him JKCA as there was no money available for running the day-to-day affairs of the body in wake of a court order.

{{/usCountry}}According to the JKCA resolution of June 28, 2008 it was unanimously resolved that the interest free loan of Rs 1.90 crore raised by the JKCA from Mirza has to be repaid.
As such it was unanimously resolved by JKCA that J&K Bank branch is authorised to raise a loan of an amount of Rs. 1.90 crore against two cash certificates of JKCA with the J&K Bank Air Cargo branch amounting to Rs 1,07,39,416 each.
