Kangra MP donates Rs 25 lakh for flood-ravaged Kashmir

Former union minister and Kangra MP Shanta Kumar on Tuesday donated Rs 25 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for rehabilitation of flood victims in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Former union minister and Kangra MP Shanta Kumar on Tuesday donated `25 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund for rehabilitation of flood victims in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Earlier, the senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader had donated `1 lakh for relief works on behalf of himself and his family.

Shanta also urged the people of the state, particularly the BJP workers, to donate generously for the rehabilitation works in Jammu and Kashmir.

Shanta also sanctioned a sum of Rs 40 lakh for various development works in Baijnath, Sulah, Nagrota and Nurpur blocks.
