Police are yet to arrest accused involved in the firing outside KFC restaurant in Kharar late on Wednesday night in which a person was injured.
However, police claimed to have traced the vehicle, Fortuner, used in the crime. The vehicle is reportedly registered in the name of Rajinder Singh, alias, Mintu, a resident of Fatehgarh Sahib.
Police claimed that Rajinder was along Talwinder Singh, alias, Tally, a British passport holder, named as the main accused in the case.
Though, three persons - Talwinder and two other unidentified persons - have been booked by police on charges of attempt to murder, criminal intimidation, along with various sections of the Arms Act, following the complaint of Manveer Singh, alias, Dimple, resident of Samrala in Ludhiana district.
The injured, Jaswinder Singh, alias, Billu, who works with Manveer in a bhangra troupe in Samrala, was admitted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Sector 32, Chandigarh, with the bullet injury.
In his complaint, Manveer told police that he had gone to meet Talwinder at KFC in Kharar to settle a loan which his former employee Shweta of Zirakpur owed to him. Talwinder, a friend of Shewta, called up Manveer to meet him at KFC to settle the loan.
However, Manveer claimed that he reached the restaurant with his two friends, where an argument broke out between him and Talwinder, who fired at him, but the shot missed the target and injured one of his employees, Jaswinder, at the KFC.
