Welcoming the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government's move in Delhi for a SIT to probe all specific cases of the killings of Sikhs in the national capital in 1984, the KMO said it would mobilise public opinion for a similar demand in Punjab to probe around "25,000 fake encounters".

The KMO would begin its state-level drive of serving memoranda to the deputy commissioners across the state from February 4 for forwarding these to the Punjab governor, KMO president Harmandeep Singh Sarhali here said.
