Kuldip Singh to take oath as HC judge

Fatehgarh Sahib district and sessions judge Kuldip Singh will be administered oath as the Punjab and Haryana high court judge by chief justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul on Friday.

His name has been cleared by the Supreme Court in the 40% quota for filling up high court judges' posts through promotion among the district and sessions judges in Punjab and Haryana. Rest 60% judges' posts are filled from practising advocates. Now, the strength of high court judges will reach 48 against the sanctioned strength of 68.
