The model was displayed at the Jawahar Lal Nehru National Exhibition on Wednesday.

Arsh said the device was made by using a direct current motor (6v), cycle rim, 1m PVC pipe, soldering wire, soldering iron, electricity wire, CD or cassette player with the amplifier and a mic.

He maintained that he wanted to invent a cheap and effective hearing machine, which functions on the vibrations coming from the teeth.

“When vibrations coming from the teeth reach out to the ear’s internal part, a hearing-impaired person would be able to hear through the signals coming from his mind,” claimed Arsh.

The model comprises a CD player with amplifier; a mic attached to the amplifier; and a motor. The device can also come inside ones teeth.

Talking about the inspiration behind this unique product, Arsh said, “I decided to work on this project after seeing many hearing-impaired people in my area. If I will be able to make them smile, it will be the biggest reward for me.”
