Man held with 2 panther hides

A team of Haryana wildlife department arrested a person for smuggling two panther hides. Acting on a tip off, wildlife officials deployed teams in areas bordering Himachal Pradesh and caught Chaman Lal, a resident of Sirmaur district of HP for carrying two panther hides.

The accused was arrested under Wildlife Protection Act – 1972. He was presented before a special environment court, Kurukshetra, which sent him to 14-day police custody.
