Man injured after jeep hits scooter

A Nayagaon resident was left injured after being hit by a Jeep, here on Tuesday.

A Nayagaon resident was left injured after being hit by a Jeep, here on Tuesday.


Police said Kishan Lal, a resident of Nayagaon, alleged that driver of a Bolero Jeep (PB-09-G-9602) hit his Activa scooter (PB-65R-1948), near Sri Guru Gobind Singh light point in Sector 26 on October 4, leaving him injured.

Nawanshahar-based Paramjit Singh was driving the Jeep. Following the hit, Lal fell on the road and was injured. He was rushed to the Government Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, and later admitted to Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER).

The police booked the driver of the jeep for causing hurt due to rash and negligent driving. He was arrested and bailed out later.
