Man who breached Hooda's security gets bail

The man who had breached Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's security by entering into his convoy was granted bail on surety of Rs 20,000 on Saturday.

The man who had breached Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's security by entering into his convoy was granted bail on surety of Rs 20,000 on Saturday.

Rakesh Kumar, a driver with power department in Panchkula, was driving official Maruti Gypsy in inebriated condition on Friday night when he entered the convoy of Hooda at the Sector 2-5 roundabout.

Hooda was on his way back from Ramgarh (Panchkula) after attending a wedding when the incident took place.

As soon as Kumar broke into the convoy, he was apprehended.
He was taken to General Hospital in Sector 6, where it was confirmed that he was drunk beyond the permissible limits.

He was charged with Section 279 (for rash driving) and Section 336 (for an act endangering life of others) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 185 (for driving in inebriated state) of the Motor Vehicle Act.
