Six-year-old Sadia, who underwent plastic surgery at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, after being bitten on the face by a stray dog in Manimajra, is stable now and would be discharged by March 31.

Plastic surgeon Dr Atul Prashar who attended to Sadia said though it appeared to be a big wound, the tissue loss wasn't that much, as such there won't be much deformation. "She has already undergone a small surgery to fix the tissue loss, and will now be examined after a couple of weeks to analyse if further surgery is required for normal appearance," said Dr Prashar.

A philanthropist from Sector 16 is taking care of the treatment expenses.
